Cheetah Plains – Karula House

Set within the Sabi Sand, Karula House is a striking contemporary retreat immersed in the African bushveld. Designed to sit lightly within its natural surroundings, the architecture combines bold geometric forms, raw stone, concrete and expansive glass, creating a dramatic contrast with the indigenous landscape.

The house is centred around generous open-plan living and dining spaces, with a wine gallery, bar, family room and expansive terrace opening towards the bush. A heated lap pool and outdoor boma extend the living areas into the landscape, while four private bedroom suites are positioned around the main house, each with its own lounge, fireplace, dressing room, outdoor deck and uninterrupted bush views.
